Objectives are how we will measure the success of the marketing plan once it is implemented

Strategies address how objectives are to be achieved

Tactics are the specific actions, details, and activities that must occur in order for the strategy to succeed and the objective to be met

Objective 1

Increase brand awareness by 80% with freshman and 50% with sophomores by the end of the year.

Strategy 1

Build connections with officers of at least three student organizations that support individuals from our target market.

Tactic 1

Email/call these types of student organizations (such as organizations focused on mental health and first-generation students) and provide high-level information about our services.

Tactic 2

Request to present or hold a table at upcoming events that the student organization is supporting.

Objective 2

Issue surveys to all participants in six months to collect feedback on the service and determine where successes and challenges lie.

Strategy 2

Get contact information for all participants and construct a survey.

Tactic 1

Ensure that every participant provides an email at the beginning of their first session. Confirm that their contact information has been provided during check-in and keep track of the client data in an excel file.

Tactic 2

Craft a thoughtful and brief survey while offering an incentive for participation to ensure high completion rates.

Objective 3

Retain 75% of participants after the first four weeks of the program launching for the first eight-week cohort.

Strategy 3

Create a welcoming and supportive culture within each cohort of the grief support group.

Tactic 1

Build connections with each new participant and ensure that they feel cared for and valued.

Tactic 2

Provide snacks and beverages for hungry and sad college students.
